Pinellas County Schools provides education for the public schools in Tarpon Springs and surrounding areas. There are a few high schools in Tarpon Springs. They include Tarpon Springs High School, Countryside High School, and Bayside High School. Countryside High School, which is one of the highest performing schools in Florida, has received a B rating for the FCAT scores. Bayside High School, which is an alternative secondary school, has four classes per day while other high schools have six classes a day. Besides the public schools, there are private schools such as Tarpon Springs Academy International, which educates kindergarten through twelfth grade students. Tarpon Springs Central Catholic High School, which is a private college preparatory school, provides education for ninth through twelfth grades. In addition to the public and private schools, there are also colleges and universities. Tarpon SpringsChristian College, which is a non-denomination Christian college, offers majors in various divisions such as Biblical Studies, Humanities, Business, Education, Fine Arts, and Sciences. St. Petersburg College, which is in St. Petersburg, Florida, has a campus in Tarpon Springs. The college has associate degrees as well as bachelor degrees.
